Yields 3 cups Compote

2 cups Moon Mountain Cab Franc
2 cups dried Ranier Cherries
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
12-16 slices fresh sweet baguette
1 pound Vella Cheese Company Dry Jack, served room temperature

In a heavy bottom pot, over low flame, simmer cherries, Moon Mountain Cab Franc, honey and black pepper for 20-25 minutes or until cherries are plump and wine has reduced to syrup. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Serve with slices of Vella Dry Jack, slices of sweet baguette and a glass of Moon Mountain Cab Franc. Cheers!

2 cups Moon Mountain Cabernet
1 cup Golden Currants or Crimson Raisins
1 cup Red Currants or Crimson Raisins
2 teaspoons honey
12-16 slices fresh sweet baguette
1# Vella Cheese Company Italian Table Cheese, served room temperature

In a heavy bottom pot, over low flame, simmer Currants, Moon Mountain Cabernet and honey for 20-25 minutes or until Currants are plump and wine has reduced to syrup. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Serve with slices of Vella Italian Table Cheese, sweet baguette and a glass of Moon Mountain Cabernet. Enjoy!
